Frequently asked questions

Why more than one CIDR?

A range that doesn't align to a power-of-two boundary needs several blocks. The tool returns the minimal covering set.

Does start have to be below end?

Yes. If start is greater than end, the tool reports an error.

Is this IPv4 only?

Yes. IPv6 ranges need 128-bit CIDR expansion.
